By 8:30 AM on the morning of February 28, 2015, my bridal party and I were already gathering at my parents house for breakfast, coffee, and pre-wedding conversations. There was a contagious energy and excitement in the air, and I was on cloud 9 with so many of my favorite people all in one house!
And boy, did we have quite the spread!
One by one, we took turns rotating out for hair and makeup with both of the fantastic artists we hired for the day of the event. I remember being asked if I was nervous or had any signs of cold feet, but I literally felt as joyful as I could’ve been. No nerves whatsoever! I just couldn’t wait to marry Will after FOUR years of us putting it on hold.
But hey, timing really is everything!
(The dogs had to have their photos taken too, obviously 😉 )
For the bridesmaids and moms, I ordered silk robes from Thailand through Etsy, and also gave the girls a little gold heart charm necklace and a candle in a customized navy tote bag with their initials. I wore a robe that Will’s sister Pam gave me (the first bridesmaid to the left of me in the picture below), which had “The Bride” embroidered on the back of it.
The robes were perfect for pictures!
With the mamas 🙂
Popcorn wanted to be in the spotlight!
Before we knew it, 6 hours had flown by and it was time to get in our dresses.
Love my mama 🙂
Aaaaand we were set! We spent another 30 minutes or so taking some photos before heading off to the ceremony site together.
I couldn’t believe how fast the morning had flown by! We had such a great time together— laughing, sharing stories and posing for photos– but the fun had only just begun! 😀
